Pool Water Testers – Simple to Use

New pool water testers are being introduced on the market and are easier to use then ever before. Traditional methods involved test strips or adding four drops of test fluid to a vile of water and then observing the colour of the water and comparing the coloured water to a colour scale on the side of the vile. These systems are useful and quite inexpensive, however they do not provide totally accurate readings that consumers can depend on. The new tester allows a proper measure to be taken.

Some of the new pool water tester capabilities include dissolving a tablet into a vile of water and placing the vile into a small electronic reader which will read the test and measure the amount of chlorine or bromide in the pool water. These testers measure the level of chlorine in a few minutes and provide an accurate reading for consumers to take note of. There is no guess work and consumers can even write the numbers on the tester down to keep an on-going record of the level of chlorine in the pools.

While testing and measuring the level of sanitizer in pools may be a bit tedious, consumers are encouraged to test the water on at least a daily basis to avoid unclean water and to avoid the growth of green algae in pools. Once your pool turns cloudy, it can sometimes be only a matter of hours before it begins to turn green with strong algae growth taking place. Regular pool testing will help to avoid this situation in your pool.
