Pool Filtration Systems – Monitor Regularly
Many pool filtration systems are not monitored on a regular basis and the systems including the filters and pumping systems are either clogged or not cleaning the water in the manner they were designed to. A few minutes every day will ensure that these pool systems and filters are operating a peek efficiency and will not contribute to unclean water or unfiltered and dirty pools.Consumers and pool operators need to monitor their pools on a regular basis, chlorinate as required and clean the pools and filtration systems regularly. There a number of easy steps that consumers can follow to ensure that their pool is always clean filtered properly.
Daily steps to keep the pool filtration system clean and operating efficiently include checking the chlorine and PH levels in your pool every day to ensure that the levels are within proper ranges. Also, check that all circulation and filtration systems are working and that the pressure regulator does not indicate backwashing your filter is required. Clean out all suction baskets of any leaves and other debris that may impede the water flow through the filter and observe the water for any signs of cloudiness or green tinges. If you see any of these items in your pool system, appropriate action should be taken immediately.
The filtration system should be backwashed as a minimum once a week to clean out the filters for most backyard pool filter systems. Shock the pool so that all possibility of bacteria is eliminated. Shocking the pool is required at least once a week and sometimes more often if the temperature of the pool water is high and therefore more susceptible to bacteria and algae growth.
