Pool Lighting Controls – Occupancy Sensors
The majority of consumers do not have their pools equipped with automated lighting controllers to manage the on/off switching of lights. Up until recently these types of controllers for pools were not available for consumer light applications. Now, pool lighting controls are becoming available for consumer pool and backyard applications. Customers can purchase illumination control systems that will sense someone in the pool area and illuminate the surrounding area. These controllers can double as part of your security system, sensing when there is movement in the yard and turning on the lights.
The pool lighting control systems can also be program to turn the lights on at dusk at a low level of intensity to provide energy savings. Once someone enters the pool area the sensors will automatically pick up the infrared image and activate the high intensity light to illuminate the yard and pool areas. Whether you are entertaining, or just need to have the security of knowing that when someone enters the yard, the pools lights will be turned on and illuminate everything in the yard. Intruders can easily be seen and owners can deal with the situation as required.
Most consumers utilize the controllers to manage backyard illumination to add ambiance to the yard as the primary purpose with security being secondary. Regardless of the motivation for considering a light controller, many consumers will be more than satisfied knowing that the lights will always be on when required and save energy at the same time. The control can also be set to manual in many cases to accommodate special events and other situations when you may need to have the lights set to a particular illumination level.
