Above-Ground Pool Care – Simple Maintenance Every Day
Above-ground pool care is relatively easy and straightforward if you follow some straight forward guidelines and look after your pool daily. Usually five minutes a day will be more than sufficient to provide the appropriate maintenance and ensure preservation of the above-ground pool and keep the water crystal clear in your pool. Above ground pools are noted for heating rapidly as well as cooling rapidly.
The following are some of the maintenance and preservation steps you can follow each day to ensure that your above-ground pools care does not become overwhelming. Once a day check the chlorine level and add chlorine to your pool to preserve the clean clear water look. Test the pools PH level and maintain the level between 7.2 and 7.6. Clean the skimmer daily and remove leaves and any other debris.
Above ground pools can have a solar blanket on them to keep the water warmed up to pleasant temperatures. Consumers need to watch the temperature of the water. As the temperature increases, algae has a better breeding ground and more chlorine is required to maintain and preserve clear water levels. Preservation of clean water is importance. Once the water heats up, algae can form very quickly when the chlorine is low in the pool.
preservation of your pool in the fall and winter is also important. If you live in an area were the water will freeze, all of the pipes must be drained and plugged and the water lowered to a level below the return lines. You are also able to take care of the pool liner better if you have covered the pool for the winter, since this will protect the pool from UV rays.
